Description
Description
The Fire‑Lite SD355A is an addressable, low‑profile photoelectric smoke detector designed for open‑area fire protection in commercial fire alarm systems. It uses a state‑of‑the‑art photoelectric sensing chamber to detect smoke particles early in a fire’s development, communicating precise analog values back to a Fire‑Lite addressable fire alarm control panel. The SD355A features dual LEDs for local status indication and supports an optional remote annunciator. Because it is addressable, it allows emergency responders to quickly pinpoint the exact location of an alarm, improving response time and reducing potential property damage. Although the SD355A itself is a smoke detector, it is part of a family that includes the SD355T(A) variant, which adds a 135°F (57°C) fixed‑temperature heat sensor for combined smoke and heat detection.
