Description
The Winland Electronics W-S-U is an unsupervised water detection sensor for connection to the WaterBug WB-200, WB-350, and WB-800. The sensor will not alarm for high condensation. Sensors may be extended up to 500′ (305 m) from the WB-800 and 100’ (30.48 m) from the WB-200 & WB-350 using 22 AWG twisted pair wiring.
Features
- Water Detection: Activates an alarm when water forms a conductive bridge between its contacts—ideal for early leak detection.
- Humidity Resistance: Will not trigger due to condensation or high humidity, reducing false alarms.
- Parallel Sensor Support: Connect up to six sensors in parallel using 18–22 AWG twisted pair wire.
- Flexible Placement: Each sensor can be placed up to 100 feet (30.48 m) from the main unit (or 200 feet for 1–2 sensors with the WB200).
- Compact Design: Measures approximately 3.0" x 2.0" x 0.88" with a 15-foot cable and weighs about 6 oz (170 g).
- Not Standalone: Requires connection to a WB200 or WB350—cannot function independently.
