Description
The System Sensor M500XA is a compact, intelligent fault isolator module designed to enhance the reliability of addressable fire alarm systems. It automatically detects and isolates short circuits on the signaling line circuit (SLC), ensuring that the rest of the loop remains operational. When a short occurs, the M500XA opens its internal switch to isolate the faulted section, while allowing communication to continue on the unaffected portions of the loop. It features a panel-controlled LED indicator that blinks under normal conditions and stays lit during a fault. The module operates on 15–32 VDC, draws 450 μA in standby, and mounts to a standard 4" square electrical box.
