Description
BasiX 71WK is a series jack used to give an alarm system priority over telephones on the same line. When the 71WK is used, the phone line is sent to the alarm panel, then on to the building phones. When the jack is unplugged, it sends the phone line directly to the building phones, allowing the alarm panel to be disconnected for testing and maintenance, without impeding the operation of telephones on the same line.
Features
- Line Seizure Capability: Routes the incoming phone line to the alarm panel first, ensuring the panel can seize the line during an emergency—even if other phones are in use.
- Fail-Safe Bypass: If the jack is unplugged (for testing or maintenance), the phone line automatically bypasses the alarm panel and connects directly to the building’s phones.
- 2-Foot Cord: Comes pre-wired with a 2-foot cable for quick and easy installation.
- Compact and Durable: Lightweight design with a plastic housing, ideal for mounting near alarm panels or junction boxes.
- UL-Compliance Support: Often used in UL-listed alarm installations where reliable communication with monitoring stations is required.
