This economical, ready-to-use, gun-grade elastomeric sealant cures upon exposure to the atmosphere to form a monolithic, flexible firestop seal. It is commonly used for metal pipe penetrations, cable bundles, and top-of-wall applications. The FD 150+ remains pliable to accommodate typical pipe movement and has a high-solids formula that minimizes shrinkage. Its endothermic fillers absorb heat and release water, slowing fire spread, while its water-based composition makes installation, cleanup, and disposal easy. Tested for up to 3 hours of fire resistance (ASTM E814/UL 1479, CAN/ULC-S115) and up to 4 hours in fire-resistive joint systems (ASTM E1966/UL 2079), it also provides ±19% movement capability and an STC rating of 56, helping reduce sound transmission.
